Here is my incredible late 19th-century Japanese Meiji period cloisonné enamel vase with a deep blue ground, dating from the Meiji period (1868–1912). It features a dark or midnight blue enamel background decorated with blooming flowers (peonies) and 3 cranes. The detailing is simply breathtaking.It measures an impressive 22cm in height & was purchased from a very fine (multi million pounds) Cotswold Georgian country home private contents sale in 2019 for £385, and it\'s been in my personal collection since. Exquisite detail, craftsmanship and colouring.
