PROBABLY THE 5TH RAREST OF CHRISTIE\'S 1940s U.S. FIRST PRINTINGS (PRIMARILY DUE TO WAR TIME PAPER RATIONING). Book has no creased page corners, no former ownership markings or used bookstore stamps inside, no foxing to pages or endpapers or outer page edges, slight dust soiling/age darkening outer page edges, bit of surface tearing to inside boards (where DJ flaps were once spot glued down - surface tearing worse to inside rear board) otherwiseclean endpapers with no soiling or staining, no splitting to internal hinges, no spine lean, no wear to board edges, barest hint of wear to board corners, slight wear to spine tips, no spine sun darkening, no rubbing to spine lettering, slight age darkening at top/bottom edges otherwise no handling/dust soiling to boards, faint white foxing otherwise no soiling or discoloration to boards, no bumped board corners.

Dust jacket has been trimmed along top/bottom edges due to the original dust jacket protector that it had been in all its life (upside is that there is no other chipping or tearing), otherwise no chipping, tearing or creasing, barest hint of wear to spine tips & to front flap crease, just a hint of edge wear, surprisingly NO SPINE SUN FADING (very common defect with this fragile dust jacket), slight color lift tear at bottom left on front panel, just a hint of color rubbing to front panel which is very nice, slight dust rubbing to white rear panel causing a line mark to left edge on rear panel, couple of faint spots at top edge on rear panel and scotch tape residue marks to ffe otherwise no soiling or staining.

Also, since I print shipping labels from home (as opposed to purchasing shipping at the post office), the delivery confirmation number IS NOT SCANNED BY THE POST OFFICE AT THIS END. Therefore, in most cases, the first time that the Post Office will show anything when you check the delivery confirmation number is when the package hits your local post office/sorting center (basically the day before its delivered to you). Occasionally (about 25% of the time) a package will get scanned at the Federal Way, WA transfer station, but in the vast majority of the cases the delivery confirmation won\'t show anything until basically the day before you get the package.

Book grades are provided in the posting, however book grading standards/categories very widely from seller to seller, so please do not rely solely on the grade that I have given a book or \'s provided \"condition\" box description, without considering the specific condition/defects described for that particular book. I do, on occasion, miss a significant defect in an item or simply make a cut/paste error in the description (i.e. an error in the description from using a prior posting as the \"shell\" for this book\'s description), and for collectible items, if that happens, on a case-by-case basis I do issue a full refund (including the cost of return shipping) depending upon the collectible significance of the undisclosed defect.
