DESCRIPTION:An exceptionally scarce, original 1979 vintage theatrical country-of-origin Portuguese movie poster for the masterpiece drama Amor de Perdição (released in English-speaking markets as Doomed Love). Directed by the legendary giant of Portuguese cinema, Manoel de Oliveira, and starring Elsa Wallencamp, Cristina Hauser, and António Sequeira Lopes.
Adapted from the classic 1862 novel by Camilo Castelo Branco, this landmark film is a cornerstone of Portuguese modernist cinema. Original theatrical paper printed in Portugal for Oliveira\'s 1970s films is incredibly hard to find and rarely ever appears on the market. This large, beautiful, high-contrast red and black sheet measures approximately 27 1/2\" x 39 1/4\" (70 x 100 cm).

CONDITION: Very Good (VG)This original, ultra-rare poster is in very nice, stable Very Good condition. While originally issued folded, it has been stored flat for a long time and the fold lines are stable with no splits or paper loss. The borders are clean and entirely free of pinholes, tape, or tears. The sheet exhibits light, expected border wear and superficial handling dimples/fine crinkles across the surface (very common for 1970s Portuguese paper stock). The graphic red and black imagery is incredibly bold and presents beautifully. Please examine the photos carefully to evaluate the condition.
