Antique 1895 First Edition - BRITISH BIRDS By W.H. Hudson- With A Chapter on Structure and Classification By Frank E. Beddard Longmans, Green, and Co. London and New York. Hardcover, antique, green decorative ornithology book with gold gilded and embossed text to the spine face, gold gilded upper page fore edges and gold gilded and embossed design to the front cover in overall very good condition. Exterior of the book shows minimal age or shelf wear. Interior of the book is likewise very clean. Book's binding is tight and well intact and the book is complete with all pages present and none coming loose, detached or missing. There are 3 reinforcements (?) in seams. Not sure what these are actually - but see photos. Pages are clean & bright with some foxing on the tissue paper covering color plates. Book totals 363 pages, measures approximately 8 1/8 x 5 3/4 x 1 1/8 inches.
