Up for your consideration is a heavily worn 19th century Victorian leather -bound volume, large pulpit Bible, featuring deep embossed calfskin panels, elaborate gilt -tooled floral accents, and gilded page edges. The cover is deep brown or burgundy grained leather with raised padded or paneled geometric tooling. Gold leaf embossed scrollwork and floral corner and center cartouches. Gilded page edges and a side clasp receiver visible along the text block edge.
Noticeable scuffing, surface cracking , and edge wear consistent with Victorian-era bookbinding.
There is a G.M. Paisley inscribe in front of the Bible, almost certainly indicates the name of a previous owner or the person to whom the Bible was gifted.
