How it Works
- The Mechanism: The tool was mounted onto a long wooden pole. A farmer would reach high into a fruit tree, slip the loop around a single apple or pear, and pull downward.
- The Basket Function: The flexible wire design acts as a soft cage to snatch the fruit cleanly from the stem and catch it safely so it doesn\'t fall to the ground and bruise.
Fruit picker has it\'s original antique patina, which we have not attempted to clean up.
