American First Class Book John Pierpoint 1829 & Victorian Silhouette Joseph Hoag For Sale

A truly unique copy of The American First Class Book by John Pierpoint 1829, as it includes not only an antique piece of purple needlepoint but a victorian-era paper silhouette of the abolitionist and prominent Quaker minister, Joseph Hoag (1762-1846). These two pieces appeared to have been folded into the book and kept there since the 1800s. The author of the American First Class Book, in which Mr. Hoag\'s silhouette has long been folded, was John Pierpont, also a staunch abolitionist, a poet and a Unitarian minister.
