Book is tight. Binding and hinges are strong.
Pictorial illustrated green and white endpapers.
Black cloth stamped in silver on spine. (sign of first edition)
Red tint (stain) on top page block (sign of first edition)
$3.00 price on inside dust jacket flap (sign of first edition)
Introduction by Eleanor Roosevelt (sign of first edition)
Pages are crisp. Black cloth cover is bright and clean. Minor shelf-rubbing. Book is square with sharp corners.
Previous owner wrote name/inscription with date on inside page of front cover, top left behind the dust jacket flap.
Dust jacket shows a handful of small open chips, and scuffs. Dust jacket flap is clipped at top and bottom but original price still showing. Please see photos for detail.
