\"Stoglav\" is a seminal compilation of decrees from the 1551 Church Council in Moscow, held during the reign of Ivan the Terrible. It addresses various ecclesiastical and civil issues, organized into 100 chapters. Despite its initial significance, \"Stoglav\" was later condemned by the 1666-1667 Moscow Church Council. The first edition was published in 1860 in London by Tuebner\'s Free Russian Press and was banned in Russia. Kozhanchikov\'s 1863 edition, sourced from a manuscript by noted antiquarian Tikhon Fedorovich Bolshakov, is rarer and remains unaltered in its original language and style.
