Detailed Description
Offered is a beautiful antique 14K yellow-gold filigreelavalier pendant featuring an oval pale-blue gemstone believed to beaquamarine, two small accent pearls, and a larger dangling pearl drop.
The pendant displays delicate openwork filigree in anelongated marquise or navette-shaped design. Finely twisted and beaded goldborders frame the center stone, while the suspended pearl drop adds gracefulmovement. The overall design is characteristic of the late Victorian,Edwardian, or early Art Nouveau period, approximately 1890–1915.
The oval faceted center stone measures approximately 3/8inch and presents a soft blue to blue-green color. A small pearl is positionedabove the center stone, with another immediately beneath it. A largerapproximately 1/4-inch pearl forms the articulated bottom drop.
The decorative bail is marked “14K” together withwhat appears to be “S-N” or a similar maker’s mark. The maker has notbeen identified. Please review the enlarged hallmark photograph and make yourown determination.
