A very rare print by the renowned French artist Henri Mauperche (1602–1686); an inscription in the lower-left corner confirms that the artist personally pulled the print. It originates from the \"Climenson Portfolio,\" a historic British collection. Mauperche created only 51 original etchings during his lifetime; this piece belongs to the \"History of the Virgin\" series, works from which are held in national collections, including the National Gallery of Art in Washington. The paper appears to be in very good condition, and the frame—complete with glazing—is in good condition. The dimensions of the print itself are 27 cm x 20.5 cm.
