Original antique tintype photograph believed to date to approximately the late 1870s–1880s.Wonderful full-length studio portrait of a young boy wearing a wide-brimmed hat, large neck bow or scarf, button-front shirt, trousers and boots.He is posed beside a rustic studio chair with an elaborate painted scenic backdrop featuring trees, foliage and architectural details.This is an especially appealing childhood tintype with a very clear image, excellent facial detail and lots of period character.Original photograph on metal with a dark brown reverse.Antique condition with age-related surface wear, scratches, edge wear and minor image loss as shown. Corners and edges of the metal plate have been clipped/rounded. The portrait itself remains exceptionally clear and displays very well.Please review all photos carefully for condition.
