Antique Joseph Rodgers & Sons 2-blade teardrop jack pocket knife made in Sheffield, England. Measures approximately 3.25" closed. Based on the combination of its markings, this knife is believed to date to approximately 1890–1901, during the late Victorian period.
The main blade is stamped “Joseph Rodgers & Sons.” Additional markings include “No. 6 Norfolk St / Sheffield / England,” “Rodgers Cutlers to Her Majesty,” and the famous Star & Maltese Cross trademark associated with Joseph Rodgers.
The “Cutlers to Her Majesty” marking is consistent with the reign of Queen Victoria, while the presence of “England” helps place the knife toward the later portion of the Victorian period, making c.1890–1901 a reasonable estimated date range.
Both blades are very tight with excellent snap when opening and closing. A nice example of antique Sheffield cutlery with several desirable Joseph Rodgers markings still clearly represented.

🔎 Condition
Antique pre-owned condition with normal wear consistent with age and use. Blades show patina, staining, scratches, and signs of previous sharpening. Both blades are very tight and have excellent snap. The back handle scale has been repaired, the front pin on the back scale is missing, and the scales show some shrinkage. Additional surface wear is present throughout. See photos for additional details.
