This is a wonderful early 20th-century geography textbook featuring numerous maps, illustrations, geographical diagrams and photographs. The book has an interesting vintage educational appearance and would make a great addition to a collection of antique schoolbooks, geography books, or historical educational materials.
The title page identifies Alexis Everett Frye as former Superintendent of Schools of Cuba and author of several geography-related works.
Condition:
This book has heavy antique wear consistent with its age and use. The cloth-covered boards are heavily worn and soiled, with fraying and significant wear around the edges and corners. The spine covering is worn and damaged, with visible stitching/thread. Pages are heavily aged with discoloration, foxing, stains and general handling wear.
There is writing, pencil/pen marks and children’s scribbling on some pages and endpapers. Some pages show tears and/or edge damage. One map/page has a large torn and partially detached section. The binding is fragile and has wear, with some pages/pages sections showing looseness.
Please examine all photographs carefully for the condition and completeness. This book is being sold as-is for its age, historical character and illustrations/maps.
