"Fine Confections" Bulk Candy Store Display TinUp for sale is a wonderful, highly collectible early 20th-century general store bulk candy counter display tin from the J.F. Darmody Company of Indianapolis, Indiana. This large-scale primitive advertising piece is packed with early Americana charm, featuring detailed period text and a phenomenal, humorous slogan on the reverse side: "Feed it to Grandma, Grandpa and the Babies."Condition & Visual Details:Patina & Surface: Features an authentic, heavily oxidized weathered brown and amber "old dry surface." The lithographed lettering remains legible and holds excellent primitive character.Interior Condition: The lid has been safely removed and the interior is remarkably clean, bright, and dry with only light, expected age-related oxidation along the seams.Structural Note: There are a couple of historic dents along the upper rim of the container collar and a dent on the bottom of vessel which add to its authentic, utilitarian general store history. The lid fits snugly onto the collar.
