Gorgeous original cast bronze/brass VERY rare grand chandelier light fixture dated (1908’ on the socket covers). This particular chandelier is a very rare gem indeed and was saved from an early 1900s mansion from the Mackinaw/Saint Ignace lake Michigan-lake shore.. The light has had updated wires throughout and a few components refinished such as the ceiling cap and socket support bar, rest is 100% original, the chandelier works great! There is patina aging on the cast metal brass/bronze components and original sockets. The gorgeous large center cast bronze stem has a beautiful nude model motif with two rams heads supporting the drapes that adorn above the nude model. The very large thick white frosted glass art deco bowl shade is free of cracks or major breaks, there is some chipping and old rust staining around the finial hole (pictured) but is superficial and unseen when the hardware is on. There are some faint scratches and usage imperfections scattered throughout the shade as well but overall the shade is in good condition considering it’s well over 100 years old, there is some slight roughing on the upper edge rim of the shade but basically not visible and merely superficial imperfections you would expect from a piece from 1908. The ceiling cap finish was re-done so it looks beautiful, NOTE- ( there are some very slight tings in the brass ceiling cap fixture from decades of use and storage). Overall this grand chandelier is just fabulous and an amazing piece of surviving functional art from the early 1900s-1910s era. Please review all photos using zoom for details and condition.
