Antique Christmas postcard postmarked December 22, 1915, featuring a charming snow-covered country church surrounded by sprays of holly.
The front bears the greeting “Christmas Greetings” in attractive metallic gold lettering.
Reverse retains its original 1-cent George Washington postage stamp and a clear Painesville, Ohio, Dec. 22, 1915 postmark. Handwritten Christmas greeting from “Sylvia Lane” and addressed to Mrs. Ella Way in Painesville, Ohio.
Marked Made in U.S.A. and S 663 on reverse.
Approximately 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches.
Condition: Antique used condition with age toning, surface wear/soiling, minor edge and corner wear, and a noticeable crease/bend at the lower-right corner. Original stamp remains attached. Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition.
