Vintage, running, 1918 Hamilton Pocket Watch Model 2, Grade 956, Size 16, 17 Jewels, serial number 1285925, set in open face Gold Filled 25-year Guaranteed case byFahys Watch Case Co. in swing ring configuration. Case bears serial number 9990803 with the Fahys crest logo and Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Pa. engraved around the perimeter.
Dial is double inset. Time is stem set with hour and minute hands appearing to move freely.Case back is intricately detailed with unengraved initial shield in center. Watch case bears evidence of use over its 100+ year life with the gold filling being worn down on the pendant ring and some small indentations on the case back.Please refer to photos for complete visual assessment. Watch has been in current family possession for 20+ years and never serviced in that time. Prior service history is unknown. Watch was wound only enough to confirm that it is in running condition (see video). Service is recommended before fully winding. Accuracy of timekeeping was not determined.
