This is an antique 1920s Art Deco enameled metal mesh flapper purse, manufactured by the prominent Mandalian Mfg. Co. This is an antique 1920\'s Art Deco enamelled mesh purse made by Mandalian Mfg Co. U.S.A. The enamelled silver mesh of the body is decorated with a pink and blue floral design on a white background. The clasp is stamped \"Mandalian Mfg Co.\" This is the perfect piece to complete a 1920s historical costume outfit.Mandalian mesh purses, particularly popular in the 1920s, are iconic pieces of fashion history. During the Roaring Twenties, flapper fashion was all the rage, and Mandalian Co. mesh purses became a must-have accessory for stylish women.These purses were made from tiny metal rings linked together to form a flexible mesh. Mandalian’s innovations allowed for the mesh to be painted with enamel for the first time, creating vibrant and lasting designs.Measurements: Length is 7\" from the top of the clasp to the bottom of the fringe. The width of the clasp is 4\". The chain is 12\" long.Condition: considering that it\'s about 100 years old, I think this purse is in pretty good condition. There is some loss of enamel or discoloration in some areas. There are holes in the mesh at the clasp edges. The fringe at the bottom has a few missing strands.
