Impressivevintage brass-tone spread-wing eagle radiator cap mascot / hood ornament, believed to date from approximately the1920s–1930s automobile era.
This substantial ornament features a beautifully detailed eagle with its wings fully extended. Both sides of the wings have extensive feather detailing, giving the piece an impressive appearance from virtually every angle.
The eagle and radiator-cap assembly have abrass/gold-tone metal finish — this item is NOT chrome plated.The aged surface, patina, oxidation and wear give it an attractive period appearance.
The exact manufacturer and original automobile application areunknown and have not been verified. No claim is being made that this is a factory Chevrolet, Pontiac, Packard, Cadillac or other specific automobile manufacturer's ornament.
