Antique wooden document box featuring a floral marquetry centerpiece framed by contrasting geometric inlay. Hinged lid opens to a plain wood interior with a handwritten inscription.Shows substantial age-related wear, including scratches, cracks and separation in the lid veneer, losses around the edges, and gaps between the lid panel and frame. Lock hardware is present; operation is untested. No key present. Lock pin is a little wiggly and doesn’t always line up when closing the lid, but with slight adjustments it does connect.
