Estate find an authentic 19th century Chinese Rose Medallion export porcelain dinner plate, dated to the late Qing Dynasty 1850-1890. Rather than the regular rose medallion plates, this one features a lovely ribbed and scalloped border, and an uneven handmade profile with a distinctively thinner rim compared to its weighted , thicker center, specially characteristic of finer historic export piece. The reverse is completely blank with no backstamp, confirming its manufacture predates the 1891 McKinley Tariff Act requirement for county of origin marketing. 9.5” wide, good antique condition overall, minor flea bite/glaze scratches on the rim, also some age appropriate enamel paint flaking and loss to the figures clothing, some tiny chips on the bottom rim, please view the photos for details, sale as is, shipping with USPS ground advantage service.
