Antique 19th Century French Inlaid Wood Jewelry Casket / Box An extraordinary 19th-century French Napoleon III period jewelry box / casket featuring intricate handcrafted brass pin (clous) work, faux-tortoiseshell lacquered center panel, and a mother-of-pearl inlay on the lid. Features & Details: Lid Detail: Center panel features a rich tortoiseshell-style pattern set with an oval mother-of-pearl cartouche handle/plaque and surrounded by brass pin borders. Interior: Lined with rich royal blue velvet in good condition. The inside lid reveals original French print backing fragments, confirming its authentic French origin. Base/Lock: Inlaid escutcheon on the front (key not included).
