Offered here is a beautiful 19th-century Chinese Canton Export \"Thousand Faces\" Mandarin folding fan, believed to date to the Qing Dynasty, circa 1860. Both sides of the fan are meticulously decorated with elaborate court scenes featuring numerous figures, characteristic of Cantonese export fans made for the Western market. The fan features finely carved natural sandalwood sticks and guards, which retain a pleasant natural fragrance. The fan is accompanied by its original rectangular black-lacquered wooden storage box.Fan: Approximately 11 inches longBox: Approximately 12½ inches × 2½ inches × 2 inchesCondition: Overall, the fan and box are in very good condition considering their age.
