This is likely an antique 19th-century hand-made copper tavern mug or tankard with a side handle and a visible seam or dovetail joint on the rim (it's cracked/split in places on rim - may have been made as such). It has developed a dark, weathered brown patina with surface oxidation. looks corroded inside, especial at bottom, whole thing has dents, something is loose inside as it rattles a bit. About 6" tall, about 5" diameter at opening top and base, about 7" across if you include handle ....... Code JSB 340
