Beautiful tiny antique 9ct gold Maltese cross charm dating from the Edwardian period. The front has particularly pretty floral engraving, while the reverse is personally engraved:“MAUD
SEPT 1910”The reverse also carries gold marks including 9 and .375, indicating 9ct gold, together with additional marks which I have not attempted to identify.A lovely little piece of antique jewellery with more character than an unengraved charm, and particularly appealing because the original 1910 inscription gives it a tangible connection to its past.It measures approximately 14 mm across the cross itself, excluding the suspension fitting/ring.This is an extremely small and lightweight charm. My household scales are not sufficiently sensitive to register its weight accurately, so I am deliberately not stating an estimated weight. It could be worn as a small pendant or added to an antique/vintage charm bracelet.Condition: Good antique condition for its age, with the expected light surface marks and wear from more than a century of use and handling. The engraving remains attractive and the inscription and gold marks are visible. Please study the close-up photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.Charm only; no chain included.Item specifics:
