Gorgeous 1920s-30s era bursting star snowflake hanging ceiling light. The fixture is tested and works well. The condition is above average considering the light is approaching 100 plus years old. There is some typical age patina/oxidation on the chains and ball stops , but modest.
The shiny glazed ceramic ceiling base is in nice overall condition with some slight age coloration and a few dark spots within the glaze. The heavy thick glass shade is still very nice, there are some natural imperfections within the glass such as air bubbles and line striations from the manufacturing process and a few flea bite sized Knicks etc from decades of use but overall way above average for this type of shade.
The socket and wires work well currently, any upgrades to the electrical would be to the new owners discretion.
These are one of the most iconic designs of the 1920s 30s era in art deco lighting, the light is well suited for even the most demanding restorations where authenticity is a must, a wonderful historical example of American lighting at its peak of design and quality.
