The rotor rotates but the rotor steel scraps against the stationary steel at some positions --suspect due to slight rust buildup on the steel pieces. I measured the resistance between the 2 loose wires of the stationary cores to be 5.2 Ohm.
Weighs 10 pounds. Will be carefully packed using new materials. The Rotherham Coventry name is marked on the 2 oil filler caps -- no other markings on the motor.
