Measurements (approx.): height: 47 cm Antique circa late 1800s to early 1900s French spelter (régule) sculpture pair by Émile Bruchon, titled “Automne” (Autumn) and “Printemps” (Spring).
These impressive allegorical female figures represent two of the seasons, with Autumn carrying fruit and foliage and Spring depicted with flowers and wheat. Both retain their identifying plaques marked “AUTOMNE par Bruchon” and “PRINTEMPS par Bruchon.” Bruchon signature is also present on the sculpture. Approximately 18–19 inches tall including the original-style black pedestal bases.
A scarce matched Bruchon pair—individual Bruchon spelter figures appear on the market, but matching Automne and Printemps examples are considerably harder to locate together. Both sculptures appear complete and intact, including the delicate flowers, foliage and raised arms
