Beautiful antique tazza/compote or pastry/cake stand by Carl Thieme - Germany, Dresden. The stand features elaborate shape, pierced rims, and is decorated with hand painted, Watteau Style decorations featuring a courting couple, delicate Dresden style flowers, gilded rims and small encrusted floral accents (on the foot part).
Measures: approximately 9” W and 3.5” H.
Condition: small blemish on the foot base (pictured), some wear to gilt, minor rough areas along the rims, scratches and use related marks, some minor wear to decorations.
The stand is marked with the maker's mark used from late 1800s.
All imperfections correspond with age.
