The basket features detailed woven and floral decoration, a stepped base and a tall open handle terminating in a decorative circular ring. The substantial weight combined with the upper ring allowed the porter to be conveniently lifted and repositioned.
The aged brass surface has been left unpolished, retaining the character and patina developed over time. A wonderful piece of decorative architectural hardware that also displays beautifully as an antique floral accent.
Condition
Antique pre-owned condition with age-appropriate surface wear, oxidation, discoloration, patina, scratches and casting irregularities.
