Antique Chinese Qing Famille Rose Bat & Peach Longevity Globular Porcelain Vase
For your consideration is a finely hand painted Chinese globular porcelain vase, from early 20th century. The heavy porcelain body is in elegant globular form and covered with thick creamy white glaze. The top opening rim is painted with gold as well as the double rings around the shoulder.
The neck and body are fully decorated with same pattern. A group of different colored bats represent the wish of prosperity in Chinese culture. Surrounding the bats are branches bearing full ripe peaches, extending from a Chinese longevity symbol. On the opposite side, a long ribbon forms double ruyi symbol. A 6 character Qing Guangxu mark can be found on the bottom of this vase.
This vase is part of a series of similar porcelains that awarded to the outstanding officials by the Royal court. So the quality and craftsmanship are among the best of the time. It\'s still in excellent condition with no damage or repair of any kind. Only some minor wear and tear that match to the age. Vasemeasures about 40cm tall.Stock #F173
