The silhouette
• Crisp hand-cut profile with a high standing collar and a neatly shaped coat.
• Unsigned. The sitter is unidentified.
• The paper has the warm aged tone you'd expect, with a few small age spots.
• Stepped walnut-stained wood frame with a gilt liner and a thin inner slip.
• Old wooden backboard, held with nails. The back has not been opened.
• Frame size: about 4¼" x 5 ¼”
• Visible image: about 2 ¼” x 3 ¼”
Condition (please read)
• Small chips and losses to the gilt liner, mainly along the bottom edge and top left corner, as shown.
• Crackle and wear to the inner slip.
• Light toning of the paper, with a few specks.
• No cracks in the glass that I can see.
Sold as pictured and not examined out of the frame. Packed carefully for shipping.
