Antique folk art child’s step-back cupboard, primitive painted finish, dated to the early 1900s–1920s per prior owner’s tag. A charming miniature version of a farmhouse pie safe/step-back cupboard — likely a child’s toy piece, dollhouse-scale kitchen cupboard, or salesman’s sample.Two-part construction: upper cabinet has two doors opening to a center-divided interior (2 compartments); lower section has a single drawer over a two-door cabinet. Original turned wood knobs, cut hinges, original old white/cream paint with honest alligatored crackle and age wear throughout (see photos). Prior owner’s tag identifies it as walnut — wood species not independently verified due to painted surface.Measurements: 22”H overall, 12”W overall, base 8.5”W, approx. 10”+ deep from back to front of lower shelf.
