A stunning matched pair of antique French Baccarat crystal luster lamps, richly hand-cut and wheel-engraved with white enamel oval reserves featuring floral medallions. Elegant gilt highlights throughout, showing appropriate age patina. Brilliant original notched crystal prisms with faceted spear drops add exceptional sparkle and presence.
Originally made as mantel lusters in the late Victorian era and beautifully converted to electric. Rewiring is recommended for modern use.
Condition: Excellent for age. Minor expected wear to gilding. Four prisms missing total (2 per lamp) — easily replaceable and not distracting.
These lamps make a dramatic statement flanking a fireplace, console, or dressing table — a rare surviving pair with superb craftsmanship and substantial size.
