Beautiful antique French bronze figural sculpture depicting a young couple embracing and kissing. The piece has a rich brown antique patina with areas of natural green verdigris consistent with age.
The base is clearly marked:
“F. BARBEDIENNE, FONDEUR”
and features the A. Collas mechanical reduction medallion, associated with the Barbedienne foundry's famous mechanical reproduction process.
