A charming late 19th-century French miniature cabinet crafted in the classic faux bamboo style. Featuring turned pine/beech moldings styled as bamboo cane, a shaped pediment crest with an arched cutout for wall hanging, and a functioning lower drawer with its turned wooden pull.
The door opens to reveal an interior display compartment fitted with its original mirrored glass plate. The case has been lovingly cleaned and conditioned with natural paste wax, enriching the warm honey tones and tiger grain of the wood. Perfect styled as a tabletop vitrine, jewelry chest, doll curio, or wall-hung accent cabinet.
Dimensions:
Height: 12-3/4 inches
Width: 7-7/8 inches
Depth: 3-1/4 inches
Condition:
Very good antique condition with rich, honest patina consistent with age and gentle use.
Wood shows minor historic surface wear and a few scattered inactive flight holes (typical for period European pine, partially conserved).
The top piece of wood has a slight natural bend in the back corner from age, but it is completely solid, sturdy, and doesn't affect how it displays or hangs.
The original mirrored glass shows light historic surface scuffing and silvering patina.
The door and lower drawer function smoothly. Structurally sound and ready to display.
