Antique French Gilt Marble Riser Clock Base Bird Floral Design For Sale

Antique 19th century French gilt metal and marble clock base/riser with lovely details including two birds at the front and foliage and scrollwork.
It would have originally housed figures pertaining to the clock on top and so it has a large hole in the marble top as well as some smaller holes, scratches and chips. Not visible when used as a riser. Top is removable and could be easily replaced with new marble or another material if desired.
Right back foot has some breakage but still stands flat.
Gilding has some wear and there is some patina present.Nearly 13\" long by 5\" tall
