Gorgeous antique French display stand (or miniature plinth) features a rectangular top resting on a contoured, serpentine base supported by bun feet.
The base is embellished with ornate, relief carved leaf molding finished with a distressed gold leaf gilding, showing extensive craquelure and authentic age patina. The top surface shows evidence of past use or mounting, retaining a textured, worn dark covering with areas of loss exposing the lighter material underneath.
