Antique oil painting of a farm scene at dusk.
Small, atmospheric Farmstead landscape with expressive brushwork and strong twilight color effects
Frame dimensions are approximately 16 1/2 x 14 1/2”
The stretcher is approximately 10 1/2“ x 8 5/8“
In very nice antique condition. I see no loose paint or flaking. Some minor craquelure throughout painting, but not unexpected for its age. On the lower right corner of the frame about 2 inches in from the corner, you can see a bit of chipping on the front where a little piece of the frame is missing.
I purchased this with the piece of paper that is in the picture as it came from a collection of antique oil paintings, and apparently had been valued previous to my purchase. I was unable to identify the artist, but I didn’t spend a lot of time on it.
Please let me know if you have any questions and also know that I take great pride in packaging any art I ship just the way I would want to receive it. It will be well protected in the front, the back, with corner protection, and lots of bubble wrap.
