Skilfully carved from solid hardwood treen with an inset mottled horn / faux tortoise shell lid panel accented by fine metal piqué work. The lid features delicate silver wire foliate vines flanked by twin scrolled hearts—a classic folk art lover\'s token motif—and cut metal geometric plaques.
