Antique Japanese hand-painted eggshell porcelain teapot dating to the late Meiji to early Taishō period (approximately 1890–1915).

This beautiful teapot features an exceptionally detailed hand-painted scene with elegant women in a traditional Japanese landscape, highlighted by raised enamel (moriage) blossoms and extensive hand-applied gilt decoration. The porcelain body is remarkably thin and translucent, a hallmark of fine Japanese eggshell porcelain.
The underside bears an original underglaze Japanese maker’s mark, and the teapot retains excellent artistic detail throughout.

Condition
Excellent antique condition. I found no cracks or repairs. The teapot displays beautifully. There is light, age-appropriate wear to some of the gold decoration, consistent with over 100 years of age. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.
