Antique pre-owned condition with visible age-related wear, including rubbing and loss to portions of the gilt and painted decoration, surface scratches, discoloration, glaze and firing irregularities, and several rough gray areas or marks inside the bowl. The unglazed foot rim shows kiln grit, discoloration, and surface soiling consistent with age and manufacture.
No chips or cracks observed upon inspection.

DESCRIPTION
Beautiful antique Japanese Arita/Imari porcelain bowl featuring a scalloped or lobed rim and richly hand-painted decoration.
The interior displays alternating panels of phoenix birds, stylized floral medallions, geometric latticework, cloud-like forms, and foliage. The center features an unusual pinwheel or propeller-style medallion. The decoration incorporates traditional cobalt blue, iron red, green, black, white, and gilt accents.
The porcelain body, painted decoration, firing characteristics, and unglazed foot are consistent with traditional Japanese Arita/Imari production. This bowl is believed to be antique, possibly dating from the late Edo to Meiji period; however, the exact kiln, maker, and production date have not been confirmed. Any underside mark is presented in the photographs without a guaranteed maker attribution.
