Antique Japanese Satsuma ware incense burner featuring a Shishi (guardian lion) finial and beautifully detailed hand-painted decoration.
The body is richly decorated with traditional Japanese figures, including what appear to be the Seven Lucky Gods, along with colorful parasols and intricate gold detailing.
The piece features a three-legged form with an elaborately decorated removable lid topped by a Shishi figure. The underside also bears a Satsuma mark.
