Antique Late 1800\'s ABP Strawberry Diamond Cut Glass Covered Butter Dish For Sale

Exceptional antique American Brilliant Period covered butter dish in the highly desirable Strawberry Diamond pattern, dating to the late 19th century (circa 1880s–1890s).

This beautifully executed example features deeply cut strawberry diamond and crosshatch motifs throughout the dome and underplate, a radiant starburst center, and a faceted crystal finial. The slightly barrel-shaped dome and brilliant cutting create exceptional sparkle and prism effects in light.

Research and discussion within the American Cut Glass community suggests possible attribution to New England Cut Glass, Mt. Washington Cut Glass, Hawkes, or Dorflinger. A closely related example appears in an 1884 New England Cut Glass catalog, though exact attribution remains unconfirmed. Offered as an unattributed American Brilliant Period example.
