Beautiful antique Mission / Arts & Crafts oak cabinet dating to the early 1900s.
This is a solid and sturdy piece with wonderful quarter-sawn oak grain throughout. It features a single locking door, original antique hardware, interior shelving, and a working key. The key was made for the lock and works properly but is not believed to be original to the cabinet.
The cabinet appears to have originally been a wardrobe, as there are still several antique hooks mounted inside. At some point in its history, it was converted for storage with shelves, making it perfect today as a pantry cabinet, linen cabinet, entryway storage cabinet, or general household cupboard.
Condition is very good overall for its age. The cabinet is structurally sound and presents nicely. There is some veneer separation on portions of the inset panels and a split in one of the back boards, both shown in the photos. These issues do not affect the cabinet’s stability or usefulness.
