Pair of Percussion Lock Plates
Description:
I’m selling agenuine pair of antique engraved percussion lock plates & hammermechanisms, dating from the early 19th century.
They have an attractive patina and are both nicely engraved. The engraving is still clear and detailed, particularly around the plate and hammer.
The mechanism retains internal parts as shown and is being sold exactly as found. I have not cleaned or tested it in any way.
Condition:
One hammer has a small loss to the tip of the thumb spur, as shown in the photographs. Otherwise they are in good antique condition with age related wear consistent with their age and use.
