This listing is for a pair of antique, circa late Qianlong to early Republic era enameled delicate porcelain bowls. Beautifully hand painted and exquisitely enameled, each is embossed with a sparse and refined garden scene featuring a chrysanthemum and a citron blossom, accompanied by a calligraphed note. The nature motifs are complimented with a lovely bird. This scene wraps around the vessel like an unrolled hand-scroll. The paint is lustrous and the body is fine and white. These unique pieces measure 4.5” in diameter x 2” high. They are gently used with one showing a small sideline nick to rim. This is shown in the photos. The bowls are marked on the base with an overglaze red 6 character mark.
