Antique Pairpoint Derbyshire Cut Crystal Compote Engraved
Antique clear cut crystal compote by the Pairpoint Corporation, very likely Derbyshire pattern. The design combines polished floral and foliate cutting, suspended blossoms, leafy garlands, beaded swags, broad curved bands, and a repeating pointed border. Corresponding ornament is carried onto the circular foot.
Underside pattern cut and polished throughout, no opaque grinding. Heavyweight construction with a shallow bowl, modestly ground pedestal, broad decorated foot. Approximately 7 inches across and just under 4.5 inches tall. Very small engraved “1583” along the underside edge of the foot.
The Derbyshire attribution is based on very similar design from a period Pairpoint catalog. This doesn't appear to be a widely circulated pattern so there are limited examples to pull from. Happy to hear from anyone with direct knowledge, it's a very pretty piece either way and unique.

- No chips, cracks, fractures, or repairs.
- Very light surface marks consistent with age and long-term display.
- Very light wear beneath the foot.
