Pre-owned. Substantial paper toning and darkening around the mat opening, with surface marks and possible foxing. The frame and mat show age and wear. Please review all photos.
Description:
Panoramic river landscape etching depicting boats, a distant shoreline, buildings, and trees. The print has a visible plate impression and a pencil signature below the image. A brass plaque on the frame reads “MAY.”
The signature has previously been suggested as W. L. Wyllie, but its reading and the artist attribution have not been authenticated. A close-up is included so buyers can assess it for themselves.
This piece is framed under glass. It shows substantial age-related mat burn, paper toning, grime, and possible foxing, along with wear to the frame and mat. Sold in its present condition, exactly as pictured.
